“This is easily one of the best-looking local movies of 2024. Yes, shooting in Baroi, Sarawak, might help, but anywhere and at any time of the day, the color and framing were great.

However, one of my major issues with this movie is the whole relationship between these two characters. I don’t buy that they have much chemistry. It seems like the guy only wants the girl because she is beautiful(?).

And the plot where the whole community tries to protect this girl, is also kind of weak. But this is really a promising first debut film, and I am really looking forward to the next film.”
